MATT HERBER
Hi I’m Matt and I’m a 3rd year vet student interested in food safety, production, and global health. As of now my future career interests lie within the government/industry sector working on policy as well as hands-on with farmers on herd management and disease control. I’m excited to expand upon what I know about North American production, as I learn more about European policy and standards regarding food animal production and welfare.

ALEX BROTHERS
Hi! My name is Alex Brothers and I am an incoming third year vet student interested in One Health, government veterinary medicine, and pathology. My ideal career would involve studying infectious and zoonotic disease outbreaks while incorporating a One Health aspect. I also hope to learn more about global food security and the role of veterinarians in international medicine. I am very excited to learn how veterinary medicine is practiced in another country and to use that knowledge in my future veterinary education and career.

MIRIAM FINK
Hi I’m Miriam, and I'm an incoming third year veterinary student. My main veterinary goal is to apply a One Health approach to whatever career I have. I hope to do this by becoming a zoo vet and study zoonosis. Outside of my career I plan to continue to learn more about global food security, food safety, and animal welfare because all three are so critical to sustain the growing global population.

AGA GALEJ
Hello! I’m Agnes (I go by Aga) and I am an incoming 3rd year with a strong interest in One Health. My life goal is to become a wildlife veterinarian and work with critically endangered species to bring them back from the brink of extinction! On a more realistic level, I would love to work in a zoo or global health environment. In addition to my wildlife interests, I have a passion for international medicine and LOVE to learn and see how veterinary medicine is practiced around the world, including underserved areas.
