Hello All!

We are 4 PennVet 3rd year students about to embark on 2 week inter-institutional collaborative workshop at the University of Padova, Italy. Through a combination of lectures, labs, and day trips, we will be exploring a variety of selected topics surrounding food safety, public health, and animal welfare. Throughout this journey, we will learn about important strategies necessary to help Veterinarians play their important role of maintaining the integrity of our food animal production systems through improved welfare practices, biosecurity measures, and pathogen control.

We are here so our food supply can be safer, healthier, sustainable, and affordable as our population continues to grow for years to come.
